Research, collect and prepare background materials - London Olympics 2012 - The Riot Athlete

I was in Malta when the news of the riots came out in Britain, it was both shocking and terrifying since my sister lives in Epsom, London. Luckily from what I heard, the community of that area stood up to the rioters and they back off.

With the Olympics fast approaching next year, this wasn't expected and even worse that the police did almost nothing to prevent it from happening. Many would disagree with me but seeing how they failed in the past both personal and not, they let murders, rapists or any criminal set free after 5 years even if the sentence is life. Not to mention at my workplacement, all they do is slap the chav's hands and they are off again like it is no big deal.

The shamed Olympics ambassador was turned over to police when her mother saw her taking part in the London riots has been jailed for two years. The talented athlete Chelsea Ives was seen throwing bricks and missiles and boasted of having the 'best day ever' after her violent rampage but the 18-year-old who had met sports stars and MPs at the House of Commons in her Olympics role, is now starting a jail term after admitting criminal damage.

From what I've seen there is no show about her remorse or regret for taking part of the riots however her mother found it so hard to turn her daughter in to the police even though her daughter would hate her for it knew that in her heart it was the right thing to do and for that Chelsea Ives will be in prison for 2 years.
