Now again I meant to do this sooner and with the film coming out next month - now is the time!!!!!
I'm going to be honest - I haven't read the book yet but I'm going to and I looked through it to get the idea but I want to read the whole thing - if I could get to it and there are SO many books I want to read these days. It's the same with The Hunger Games, I've seen the movie but haven't read the book even though I want to. College gets in the way all the time!!!
So yeah back to the subject I have seen both trailers and I am VERY excited about this and there's a great cast too!!
Three familiar faces - Emma Thompson, Jeremy Irons and Viola Davis
Emma Thompson - if there's anyone who hasn't seen any Nanny Mcphee films then You're crazy - watch them NOW!!!! Love Actually a good movie too.
She's brilliant when it comes to acting because and this is my option - she cant easily swap one character to another and you can see the change so much you forget the last character she was instantly. You can definitely see between the two trailers too and for anyone who has read the books - you know why!!
Jeremy Irons - This guys has been around for YEARS so it's hard to miss him in something. Lion King anyone??? He was the voice over the bad lion Scar and at the moment if you know The Borgias - then you know who he plays.
He is a brilliant actor (been using the same word over and over but it's true) and again he can change into different character easily. And the author based this character on him too so THIS works out GREAT!!!!
Viola Davis - Now this lady should have at LEAST won something because she was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-! in The Help. I glad that the other actress Octavia Spencer won some awards (Loved Minnie and the chocolate pie) but still think Viola deserves something too. When I saw this film in the cinema and at one point her character tripped over - I gasped - out loud - I don't do that...AT ALL!!! That goes to show how brilliant she is!!!
OHH!!! Almost forgot - Emmy Rossum - She's amazing too! Looking at the films she has done - Why hadn't I remember she was in Phantom of the Opera - remember watching it and enjoyed it and then there Dragonball: Evolution (Horrible adaption - HORRIBLE - changed everything too much!) and I'm not a fan of British show (the real ones!) turned to Amercian version (The Inbetweeners USA was hell crap!) however when I watched the Shameless USA the person who kept me watching it - was Emmy Rossum. The guy who played Goku was in it too and he's good himself!!
Now to the lead actor/actress - Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert - I think it's brilliant to have new faces for the leading parts - shows the audience what they can do - example - Twilight Saga and look at the leading actors/actress now!!!
Even though I haven't read the book properly yet and I know have no right in saying this - but I glad that Jack O'Connell dropped out - I think he's was great in Skins and Harry Brown but looking at him - I just don't see the character Ethan in him (sorry!)
Overall I am very looking forward to see this film and get my teeth into the series that await me (as well as many other books to read - earlier post about What I want to get future books wise)
One more thing - in the trailer - the most brilliant song EVER sung by the amazing Florence and the Machine - Seven Devils. I think it suits the trailers perfectly and even though I wanted to see the film before the first trailer came out - the song certainly grabbed me completely and I listen to it ALL - THE - TIME!! If there was any music video I wanted to make a song out of - it would be this one.
To finish this post of - Pictures of both trailers I Screenshot and Photoshop - ENJOY!!!!
