How to make a CMYK Film Positive in Photoshop

Here is a step by step guide about making a CMYK film positive in Photoshop (CS3)




Step 1: First find a image







Step 2: Click on Image Tab






Step 3: Then on the Image tab, click onto Mode and then click on CMYK option





Step 4: When this option comes up click on "Flatten"




Step 5: Then afterwards click on "Channels" tab on the side bar






Step 6: As you click on "Cyan" you will see what the the difference to the lotus flower






Step 7: Again in Magenta







Step 8: In Yellow






Step 9: And lastly in Black





Step 10: Then click on Image Tab again, Adjustments and then finally click on Curves





Step 11: Adjust the levels of the Curves by clicking at the arrows at the bottom near the "Input"

 





Step 12: Here is a result of using the "Curves" option on the black side of the of the CMYK picture





Step 13: Here is the final result after clicking on the "CMYK" Tab
